April Shauntye Jackson
On Wednesday, May 5, 2021, the Angel’s trumpet sounded calling April Shauntye Jackson, age 44, home to be with the Lord. She departed this life in Greenwood, SC having fought fearlessly; surrounded by those she loved and those who loved her.
April was born on June 7, 1978 to Londa Jackson, Greenwood, SC and Robert White, Charlotte, NC, and was nurtured by a loving family and home. April was educated in the public schools of Greenwood, a graduate of Greenwood High School Class of 1997, and upon further studies received a diploma as a Holistic Practitioner and SWP Reiki Practitioner.
She was most fond of cooking, and traveling extensively, especially to various beaches. April was often greeted warmly by many of her friends and classmates.
During her youth she attended faithfully Old Mt Zion Baptist Church in the Epworth Community.
April had a beautiful calling as she was often found taking care of her elders. She was caretaker for her grandmother, Barbara Jackson, until her health declined. She remained faithful as loving daughter to the care and support of her sweet mother for many years. April was steadfast in preparing and delivering meals until her own health began to fail to that of her grandfather, Leroy White. She was a loving and special friend to her neighbors and friends.
She was preceded in death by two endearing and loving grandmothers, Willie Mae White and Barbara Jackson; one grandfather, Sammie Jackson.
She leaves to cherish precious and beautiful memories:, a loving mother, Londa Jackson, ofGreenwood, SC; a father, Robert (Tracia) White, Charlotte, NC, a grandfather, Leory White, Greenwood, SC; a godson, Jaden Gilliam. Three sisters left to cherish her memory: Kellie (Ronald) George, Atlanta, GA; Khadijah (Mike) White of Charlotte, NC; Chasity Belcher of Greenville, SC. One devoted brother, Corey Jackson of Greenville, SC. Four doting nephews, nieces, two great-neices, a special friend, Angela Reese; and a host of other relatives and friends.
