Shirley Ann Cunningham, 73, of 110 Elm Court, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Howard Simpson and Ruth Wright Hudson and was reared in the home of her late aunt, Fannie Mae Watts.
She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She graduated from Brewer High School, Class of 1967 and retired from Self Memorial Hospital.
In addition to her husband, Herbert Cunningham, she was predeceased by a sister and two brothers. Survivors are a daughter, Weneka Ridges of Columbia, SC; two sons, Travis Simpson of Greenwood, Orton Williams of Asheville, NC; eight brothers, Otis Simpson of Columbia, SC, Robert Lewis Ware of Augusta, GA, Rodney (Jackie) Hudson of Asheville, NC, Patrick Hudson of Asheville, NC, Jimmy Reed of San Francisco, CA, Charles Watts of Greenville, SC, Samuel Watts of Anderson, SC and Henry (Sadie) Watts of Greenwood, SC; four sisters, Bobbie Jean Donald, Keisha Hudson both of Ware Shoals, SC Daisy M. (Allen) Rucker of Greenwood, SC, Carolyn Ware of Asheville, NC and Betty Joe Ware of Augusta, GA; 10 grandchildren, Terrance Lenyear, Amanda Lenyear, Marlon Lenyear, Cierra Jacobs, LaToya Simpkins, Orton Williams and Emma Williams and 15 great grandchildren; special friends, Billy, Raymond, Doris Foggie, Helen, Lorrian and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Evening Star Cemetery with Rev. Anthony R. Sanders officiating. There will be no public viewing. The family is at the home and ask that social distancing guidelines be followed.
