John Albert Williams Jr. 61, of 539 Sumter street, fiancée of Debbie Roman was taken tragically, from his earthly cares and we pause to say good night and not good bye. God came in his own way January 03, 2020 and bore him away to rest.
John Albert Williams Jr. affectionally known as Junior was born October 6,1958 to John Albert Williams Sr. and Julia Mae Booker Williams in Greenwood County
John Albert Williams Jr. is the widower of Elaine Patterson- Williams whom he was married for Thirty- Five years until her death.
John Albert Williams Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Betty Williams and Jeanette Williams.
John attend school in the 96-school district 52, while in school John was involved with the football team and was well known. John was known to be a die heart Pittsburg Steelers fan. John was also known for his big bright smile, his care and compassion for his family and friends.
John was known to be a smooth sharp dresser and a great dancer that really knew how to have a good time. John never met a stranger and was one of the nicest people you could ever meet.
John accepted Christ at an early age and spent his younger years at Pine Pleasant Baptist Church. John joined Cokesbury Baptist Church later in life and was a true worshiper of God. John made it known to all that he encountered, about rededicating his life to the lord and that sole had been anchored. Many of Johns friends and Family spoke of how much happier he seemed in his life and the fact that he stated to them I am free and Happy. John displayed in his walk and his talk the examples of how to love and treat your neighbor.
John was employed at Flexible Technologies in Abbeville SC; he was known as a hard worker that never complained.
John leaves to cherish his memories, his fiancée Ms. Debbie Roman of the home. The couple was set to marry May 5,2020. Two daughters Natasha Burton, Salena Elmore, four sons, Thaddeus Devlin, Kentavious Williams, Adrian Thompson and Kendrell Thompson. Four brothers Joell Williams(Brenda), Odell Williams(Brenda), Johnny Williams(Ericka)and Carolos Lindsay(Skylene) One Sister Brenda Bobo
Great Aunt; Betty Jean Jackson Great Uncles; Johnny Booker and Paul Willie Booker
Grandchildren; Cadesa Watson, NyTearia Curry, Tazaria Curry, Tremaiya Elmore, Tremaine Pride,
Wy’lae Pride and Azaian Williams.
Mother in law; Christen Davis and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, January 11, 2019 at Cokesbury Baptist Church with Pastor Melissa Spencer officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Williams will be placed in the church at 10:00 am.
Pallbearers will be Barry Chappelle, Willie Elmore, Ronald Davis, James Davis, Laquintin Evans, Telly Williams, Robin Anderson and Donnie Hurley..
