Minnie Lee Ligon

Mrs. Minnie Lee Ligon 90, of 1001 Ligon Road, widow of Darrah Ligon entered into eternal rest on September 17, 2019 at her home. She was born in Greenwood County a daughter of the late T. C. Puckett and Ethel Williams Puckett. She was a graduate of Brewer High School Class of 1947. She was a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church where she was involved in several ministries in the church. She was a Deaconess, former Sunday School Teacher, member of the Missionary Society, former member of the Sr. Choir and was also choir adviser. She was also a member of the Women's Home Aid Society #98 and Seniors on the move. Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters, Janice Ligon Norman and husband Rev. Michael Bruce Norman of Greenwood and Linda Ligon Wilson and husband Curtis of Pensacola , Florida; seven grandchildren, LaToya (Derrick) Hughes, Zachary (Jewel) Norman, Michael Norman, Robert Sanders, Courtney Wilson, Curtis Wilson and Jonathan Wilson ; six great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services for Mrs. Ligon will be held 11:00 am Friday September 20, 2019 at Mt Zion Baptist Church, Coronaca, SC with Rev. Cartrell Blume officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ligon will be placed in the church at 10:00am. Pallbearers will be Deacons. Flower bearers will be Deaconess.
