Mrs Hattie Lee Chappell Kennedy

Hattie Lee Chappell Kennedy 87,  widow of Diamond Kennedy entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Self Regional Medical Center. She was born in Greenwood, South Carolina June 27, 1932 a daughter of the late Timothy Chappell, Sr. and Salle Mae Brooks Chappell. 
She was a member of  Second Damascus Baptist Church where she was a former  member of the Usher Board, Gospel Chorus, Willing Workers Club,  Ladies Adult Sunday School and the Mass Choir.
She retired from Greenwood Mills Durst  Plant.
She leaves to cherish her memory  a brother, Timothy Chappell (Dorothy) of Hodges, SC; a sister, Frances Chappell  of Greenwood; two nieces,  Tonya Chappell of Simpsonville, SC and Cynthia Chappell of Columbia, SC; six nephews, Timothy Chappell III of Hodges, SC, Barry Chappell of Greenwood, Michael Chappell (Monica) of Apokola, FL, Anthony Lindsey (Juanita) of Atlanta, GA , Jessie Lindsey (Carolyn) of  Atlanta, GA, June Lindsey (Vickie) of Asheville, NC ; one god son, Lavone Anthony "L J"  Day Jr. of Hodges, SC and a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. 
Services will be conducted Noon Tuesday, September 11, 2019  from Second Damascus Baptist Church with Rev. Leroy Robertson officiating.
Burial will be in Evening Star Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Flower bearers will be nieces and friends. 
Honorary escort will be members of the Usher Board.
Mrs. Kennedy will be placed in the church at 11:00 am
