Frances B Reed

Mrs. Frances B. Payne Reed 67, of 206 Parker Avenue wife of Richard Reed died April 14, 2018 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Anderson County april 11, 1951, she was a daughter of Frances Wright Barmore and the late James A. Barmore  Sr. She was a  graduate Geer-Gantt High Class of 1969. She was also a graduate of Forrest College and Piedmont Technical College with Associate Degree in Secretarial Science. She was a veteran of the US Air Force and a member of New Broadmouth Baptist Church in Honea Path, SC and attended Grace Community Church.

She was employed with Greenwood School District # 50 in the Secretarial  and Guidance Office.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother Frances Barmore of Hodges,SC  her husband, Richard Reed ; a daughter, Monika Payne and Fiancée  Christopher Morgan of Greenwood; one brother, James Barmore, Jr of Augusta, GA; two sisters, Dianne Barmore-Barnes of Cincinnati, OH and Della Barmore-Jones of Greenville, SC ;two step sons, Jacaden Reed and Khase Reed of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Quinton Payne, Aaliyah Payne and Jermiyah Payne ; two nephews, Clifford Jones  and James A. Jones of Greenville; one great niece, Xariah Jones and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services  will be held Noon Saturday, April 21  at Grace Community Church with Pastor Rodney Schultz officiating.

Burial will be in Evening Star Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Clifford  Jones, James "Tony" Jones, Sedarius  Arnette, Myron Carroll, Malik Carroll and DeMichael Pope.

Flower bearers will be cousins and friends.

Mrs.  Reed will be placed in the church at 11:00AM

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-7 pm Friday evening.
