James Odom Talbert

James Odom "Allen" Talbert of 5822 Hwy 25 N, husband of Eva Padgett Talbert, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 18, 2018. He was the son of the late James Allen Talbert and Gloria Anderson Talbert. He joined Good Hope Baptist Church in Hodges SC at an early age and retired from Michelin Tire.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Talbert, Jr.

He is survived by in addition to his wife of the home, four sons, Travis Deshun Nicholson of Columbia, Michael ( Akila) Boozer of Greenwood, Reginald Talbert of Hodges and Jonathan (Falon) Talbert of Ware Shoals, Larry (Kashon) Talbert, Michael Talbert both if Boston, MA and Joel Talbert of Fayetteville, AR; four brothers, , Sherman (Ruthia) Tolbert of Donalds, SC , Larry (Kashon) Talbert, Michael Talbert both of Boston MA and Joel Talbert of Fayetteville, AR; three sisters, Shelia (Jerry) Cohen, Lisa Talbert and Pamela (Manuel) Andrade all of Boston, MA; step mother, Annie Talbert of Boston, MA; 30 grandchildren; a brother in law, Theodore ( Henrietta) Padgett of Greenwood; two aunts, Eva Mae Bowens of Boston, MA and Betty Brown of Greenville, SC and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Amos O Harling officiating and Rev. Deloris Henderson presiding and Dr. Phillip Baldwin and Rev. Johnny Waller assisting.

Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

Pallbearers and Flower bearers will be friends and family.

Honorary escort will be Brewer High School Class of 1970.

Mr. Talbert will be placed in the church at 10:00 AM.

The family will receive friends at the home.
