George " Chicken George" Aiken

Mr. George Edward Aiken, 63, entered into eternal rest on February 2, 2018 at Self Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 29, 1954 in East Meadow Long Island, NY to Robert P. Aiken Sr. and the late Louise (Smith) Aiken.

He was educated in the Amityville School District. After graduating in 1974, He was employed with Fairchild Gruman and Co. as an airplane parts assembler and with the State of NY as a Food Service Representative. He was also employed with C J Flag and Pole in Lindenhurst, NY.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Baptist Church, he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in his later years. He was always known to be the life of the party he enjoyed family and friends . He loved life and enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing, music, basketball and football.

He was preceded in death by one sister Brenda Aiken and one brother Daryl Thompson.

He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Lakeen Portier of Bay shore, NY ; three daughters Shareese Bunn of Springhill, FL, Sonia Bunn of Amityville, NY, Kimberly P. (David) Daniels of Central Islip, NY, and one step son, Jamal Bunn of Amityville, NY; seven brothers, Robert P. (Roberta) Aiken Jr. of Freeport, NY, John Allen Aiken of Huntington Station, NY, Bruce Aiken of Brentwood, NY, Tyrone (Dennis) Aiken of Kansas City, MO, Timothy(Penny) Aiken of Huntington, NY, Anthony(Danielle) Aiken of West Babylon, NY, and Jermaine Aiken of Greenwood, SC.; seven sisters, Vernell ( Michael) Guidroz of Amityville, NY, Diane Aiken of Elberton, GA, Marion A.(Steven) Floyd of Wyandanch, NY, Daisy Latimore of Amityville, NY, Chastity Aiken of Elberton, GA, Rosemary ( Jake Anderson) Aiken of Bay Shore, NY, and Rev. Charlene A. (Marlon) Coward of Amityville, NY. He also leaves six half sisters and brothers, Steven Harrell of Bay Shore, NY, Anthony Harrell of Queens, NY, Robert J. Aiken of Las Vegas, NV, Roderick (Sarah) Aiken of California , Ronica Aiken of Hodges, SC, and Yusef (Sharyle) Williams of Deer Park, NY; two aunts, Jessie Pendarvis of Rockville Centre, NY , Wilhelmenia McCrae of Chesapeake, VA.; six grandchildren and a host of others nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, February 12, 2018 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Jackson presiding and Rev. Charlene Aiken-Coward officiating

Pallbearers and Flower bearers will be friends and family

Mr. Aiken will be placed in the church at 10:00 am.

The family will receive friends from 4-6pm Sunday at Percival Tompkins Funeral Home.

The family is at the home of a brother Jermaine Aiken 113 Tompkins Ave Greenwood SC.
