Rev. Charles Agnew

Rev. Charles E. Agnew, 66, of 1405 Cooper Street, entered into eternal rest on February 1, 2018 at Self Regional Medical Center. He was born December 6, 1951 in Greenwood County to the late Johnny Coleman and Christine Coleman Agnew.

He was educated in the Greenwood Public Schools and employed by Greenwood Mills. He later became a mechanic and was employed with Western Auto and retired from  B & F Inc. of Greenwood SC. He was presently working at Percival Tomkins Funeral Home as an associate and in house minister.

He was a member and later licensed and ordained at Cokesbury Baptist Church and presently served as  Associate pastor at John's Creek Baptist Church.

He was a former member of Savannah St. Goodwill Association; and member of Little River Missionary Baptist Association.

He leaves to cherish his memories are three daughters, Marian Coleman of Greenville, SC, Pamela (LaVon) Gray and Charlene Agnew of Greenwood, SC; four brothers, Johnnie Coleman, James Coleman, Earl Sanders, and Bob Sanders all of Greenwood, SC; two sisters, Louise Chalmers of Greenwood, SC and Rene Bovill of New York, NY; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren  and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, February 8 , 2018 at Cokesbury Baptist Church with Rev. Melissa Spencer officiating assisted by Bishop Emanuel Spearman presiding.

Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

Flowerbearers will be nieces and grandchildren.

Rev. Charles Agnew will be placed in the church at noon. The family is at the home of a brother James Coleman 1310  Yvonne  Avenue Greenwood SC.
