Mr. Thomas Palmore, Jr 68, of 105 Grand Prix Court husband of Mamie Frayer Palmore died January 16, 2018 at Hospice Care of the Piedmont. He was born in Greenwood County April 29, 1949 a son of the late Thomas Palmore and Roberta Jones Palmore.
He was a graduate of Brewer High School Class of 1968 and a veteran of the United State Army. He was a Mechanic and Bus Driver for Boles Enterprises for many years until his retirement.
He joined of Bailey Bethel AME Church at an early age and was a member of American Legion Post # 224.
Surviving is his beloved wife , Mamie F. Palmore of the home, one son, Kenneth Leon Jones of Greenwood ; one sister, Sadie (Henry) Watts of Greenwood ; one step son, Donnie (LaToia) Frayer, Jr. of Odenton, MD; one step daughter, Dione Frayer of Conover, NC five grandchildren, Tequila Jones, Quaporche Mason, Kidia Mason, Kenyetta Jones and Kenan Jones; three great grandchildren ; 9 step grandchildren; two uncles, Walter Palmore of Honea Path , SC , Curtis Palmore of Philadelphia, PA; two aunts, Elizabeth Palmore of Honea Path, SC and Margaret Jones of Saluda, SC; his step mother in law, Margaret Taylor( John); a special cousin, Annie Lou Palmore of Greenwood; family friend, Annie Lee Nicholson and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, January20, 2017 at Bailey Bethel AME Church with Rev. Willie Black officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be former employees of Boles Bus Lines.
Flower bearers will be Ushers of the Church.
Honorary escort will be American Legion Post # 224 and Brewer High School Class of 1968.
Mr. Palmore will be placed in the church at 1:00 PM.
