Sara Belle Louise Sussewell Martin

Mrs. Sara Belle Louise Sussewell Martin 89, of 505 Haigler Street, Abbeville, SC died September 2, 2017 at Hospice Care of the Piedmont.  She was born in Abbeville County December 17, 1927 a daughter of the late James T. Sussewell and Mariah Louise Hawthorne. She was a graduate  of Carver High School. 
She was a member of Mt Lebanon AME Church where she was a former Usher and member of the Missionary Society.
She loved playing the piano and was passionate about her baking
She was the last survivor of her siblings.
Surviving are a son , Michael  J.(Audrey) Martin of Anderson, SC ; two devoted daughters and caregiver, Almeta E. Lomax (Eric) of Due West, SC and Gloria J. Woods of Mableton, GA; five grandchildren, Caroline Sussewell, William( Ulrika) Lomax, Jr. , Corey( Sirlena) Woods, Kelvin (Tomesha) Woods ; five great grandchildren, Sitori Sussewell, Sharmaine Sussewell, Shamad Lomax, Danydra Woods and Olivia Woods and 2 gg grandchildren, Princess Jones and Ny'riah Williams ; one brother in law, Len (Ruth) Ellis of Philadelphia, Pa and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 8, 2017 at 1pm from Mt Lebanon AME Church with Rev. Reginald Morton officiating assisted by Rev. Carnetta Morton Presiding.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Theodore Lomax, Thomas Lomax, Terry Lomax, Danny Woods, Corey Woods and Kelvin Woods

 


Flower bearers will be Missionaries
Mrs. Martin will be placed in the church at Noon on Friday.
The family is at the home 505 Haigler Street Abbeville, SC
