Parker Lawrence Arnold" Shine"

Mr. Parker Lawrence Arnold 80, of 3403 Cokesbury Road, Hodges, SC widower of Janie Butler Arnold passed away peacefully on August 12, 2017 at Saluda Rehab and Nursing Center. Born in Hodges, SC he was a son of the late Charlie and Hazelene Arnold.

Parker was a faithful and devoted member of Mt Zion Baptist Church in Coronaca, SC He served on the Usher Board, the Male and Mass Chorus. Parker worked at the Durst Plant , CPW and Spinx for many years.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie Arnold, Jr, Willie Alnold, Elbert Arnold and a sister Mattie Arnold.

He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Samuel (Aleatha) Arnold of Greenwood, SC , James (Kaleia) Arnold of Rock Hill, SC ; eight brothers, Ellis (Harriett) Arnold, Jimmy (Mary Ann) Arnold, Izel (Vernel) Arnold all of Hodges, SC, Abner "Nokie" Arnold, Charles "Peter" Arnold and Carl Michael Arnold all of Greenwood, SC, David Arnold and Ellis Arnold of Greenville, SC ; five sisters, Susie Jane Louden, Rosa Marie Freeman of Greenwood, SC , Ruby Arnold and Hazelene Gilliam of Hodges, SC Linda Ebo of Atlanta, GA; five loving grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Mt Zion Baptist Church Coronaca, SC with Pastor Bernard White officiating assisted by Bishop Emanuel Spearman presiding.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers and Flower bearers will be friends and family.

Mr. Arnold will be placed in the church at 10:00am

The family is at the home of a son, Samuel (Aleatha) Arnold 101 Kingston Road, Wellington Green Subdivision.
