Aaron Gray

Mr. Aaron Mitchell Gray 54, of 312 Parker Avenue Greenwood passed March 16, 2016 at  Self Regional Medical Center.  He was born in Greenwood county to the late  James Smith and Carrie Elizabeth Mitchell Gray.

He joined Flint Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He was formerly employed with the Index Journal and presently employed with Wesley  Commons.

He had a love for Jazz music and loved cruising and jamming to his music.

Surviving are his fiancée of the home, Mary Tolbert ; two sons, Aaron Me-kel Gray (Angelica ) and Xzaviera O Gray (Shanice Davis) of Greenwood;  a special daughter, Quaniesha Jemison of Columbia, SC ,  a special son, Quincy Tolbert of the home,  4 sisters, Alfreda G. Agah (Michael) of Charlotte, NC; Diane Smith ( Ray) Harper  of Greenville, SC  , Faye Smith of Columbia, SC  and Claudette Fisher(Charles) of Greenwood; three  brothers,  James Smith III of Greenwood, SC  Jamey Thayer Smith  of Atlanta, GA and Chris (Doris)  Phelps of Greenwood, SC; six  grandchildren,  Za"kerria , Za'Liyah and Zayveion, Arkevious, Arionna and Arian Gray; two god grandchildren, Eden and Jaylin Tolbert; a niece;  Toi Agah and nephew,   Emeka( Jordan) Agah both of Charlotte, NC. a special aunt, Mary Smith and host of other, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, close relatives and friends.

Funeral services will held 3pm Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Flint Hill Missionary Baptist Church  with Rev. John R. Brightharp  officiaiting.

 Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. Gray will be placed in the church at 2pm

Pallbearers  and Flower bearers will be cousins and friends of the family.
