Mrs. Annie R. Spearman

Mrs.  Annie Ruth Spearman 82, of 705 Clem Road, widow of L.T. Spearman went from Labor to reward on April 14, 2015 at Hospice Care of the Piedmont. She was born in the Kirksey Community December 1, 1933 a daughter of Carroll Ross and Nellie Anthony Ross. Sharing in her rearing was her grandmother Carrie General.

 

She was reared from childhood and was a member of in Flint Hill Baptist Church and attended Allen Chapel AME Church after marriage.

 

She was employed with Greenwood Packing Plant for many years and caretaker in private homes.

 

She was a graduate of Brewer High School Class of 1955 and former member of the Daughters of Elks .

 

She was preceded in death by her husband LT Spearman , a son Vernon Ray Spearman and a great granddaughter Monteria Pettigrew

 

Sharing her life for many years with her children , Linda Davis  and Michael Spearman  of the home, Sheryl Gray  and Ardie Valisa Spearman both of Charlotte, NC; Barry Spearman(Toka) of Greenwood ; 11 grandchildren , 14 great grandchildren.

 

She also leaves to cherish her memory, two brothers in law, Kadell Spearman,  and Simeon Spearman; three sisters in law,  Effie Spearman , Rhoda Spearman  and Ester Spearman; a step daughter, Brenda Palmore (Ben) of Greenwood and a host of other, nieces, nephews , relatives and friends.

 

Funeral services will be held Noon Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Flint Hill Baptist Church with Rev. John R. Brightharp Pastor and Presiding and Bishop Emmanuel Spearman officiating.

 

Burial will be in Allen Chapel AME Church Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be nephews. Flower bearers will be nieces

 

Mrs. Spearman will be placed in the church at 11:00.

 

 

The family is at the home 705 Clem Road.
