Janice Hill

Miss Janice R. Hill 49,  of 403 Rambo Drive passed from Labor to reward on January 9, 2015 at Self Regional Medical Center.  She was born in Greenwood County November 15, 1965 a daughter of Lillie R. Hill and the late Jasper Hill.


She was employed with Eaton Industries for over 20 years. She was a member of Second Damascus Baptist Church and was a graduate of Greenwood High School Class of 1984. She  was a  retired  SGT from the   National Guard  Army  HHC 151 Signal Battalion after 21 years of service having served in Desert Storm, The Persian Gulf and Operation New Dawn.


She is survived by her devoted dog Diva, her loving and caring mother Lillie R. Hill;  her brothers, Stanley Hill of Hodges, and Gregory L Hill of Promised land; 6 God Sisters, one God Brother and a host of other Godchildren, uncles, aunts , relatives and friends


Funeral services will be held Friday, January 16, 2014 at 1pm at Old Mt Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Arthur Kemp officiating and Rev Merry Mansel Presiding.


Burial will be in Second Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will  be American Legion Post # 224



Flower bearers will be Greenwood HS Class of 1984 and Eaton Employees.


Honorary escorts will be HHC 151 Signal Battalion.


Ms. Hill will be placed in the church at noon.


The family is at the home of her mother 306 Utopia Avenue, Promised Land.
