Rufus Turman Bell
He was a member of Shiloh A.M.E. Church and attended Good Hope Baptist Church. He graduated from Mims High School in 1966, served in the US Army and attended Piedmont Technical College. He retired from Solutia after many years of service. He had a jovial spirit and enjoyed his friends and family. His favorite sport was fishing and was a member of the Carolina Bass Anglers Club.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Alford Bell, and a sister, Annie Ruth Robinson.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his wife of the home, three sons, Craig (Bobbie) Bell of Greenville, SC, Allen (Mebina) Bell of Willington, SC, Damien Bell of the home and a step-son, Desmond Cunningham of the home; five brothers, his twin brother Robert (Sylvia) Bell, Reverend Albert (Carrie) Bell, Edwin (Marie) Bell, Reverend Dwight (Gloria) Bell all of McCormick, SC and Johnny Bell of Buffalo, NY; three sisters, Robbie Houston, Shirley Davenport both of Buffalo, NY and CeLaine Watson of Bradley, SC.; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two step grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 Friday, November 28, 2014 at Shiloh A.M.E. Church in McCormick with Reverend Albert Bell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Honorary Escorts will be the Mims High School Class of 1966. Pallbearers will be Carolina Bass Angles Club members and Flowerbearer will be the nieces.
