Helen Geter (August 15, 1921 - February 5, 2014)

Mrs. Helen M. Geter, 92, of National Healthcare widow of Booker T. Geter passed on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at her home. She was born in Philadelphia, PA August 15, 1921 a daughter of the late Willie Morange and Daisy Byrd Morange.

She was the last survivor of her siblings.

She was a member of Mt Tabor Baptist Church where she served on the Missionary Society. She was a former member of Beulah Grove Baptist Church in Augusta, GA where she served as Usher.

Surviving are one son, Willie “Pete” Moragne, two grandsons, Frankie Henderson and Willie Moragne, Jr. of Greenwood, three granddaughters, Melinda Williams, Gwen Chiles and Gloria Griffin all of Greenwood, and ex daughter in law, Elizabeth Moragne of Greenwood, five step grandchildren Tony Hart, Dennis Hart, Craig Hart, Angie Hart and Derrick Hart, seven great grandchildren, 15 gg grandchildren, three god children, James Rouse, Jonathan Rouse , and Phyllis Lovett Labord and a host of other nieces , nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 2pm at Mt Tabor Baptist Church with Rev. Ulysses Parks officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Sanders, Paul Gary, Sam Welton, Ben Adams, James Rouse and Harold Williams.

Flower bearers will be Missionaries.

The body will be placed in the church at 1:00pm.

Public viewing will be from 1- 2pm Sunday at Mt Tabor Baptist Church.
