Mrs. Josie Lagroon Davis of 970 Old Greenwood Highway, wife of Nathaniel Davis entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 24, 2020. She was born in Abbeville County October 13, 1935 a daughter of the late James P. Butler, Sr. and Jessie Lee Boozer. She was a member of Allen Chapel AME Church where she served in several ministries to include former Secretary , Steward, choir member, member of WMS Society and involved in with the Youth Ministry. She was a member of the 4H Club, Daughter of Elks, Women's Aide Society #98 and worked with the Clemson Extension. Surviving are her husband Nathaniel Davis; one son, John(Linda) Lagroon; three daughters, Cathy L (Johnny) Norman, Lola L. (Kenneth)

Mrs. Emmer" Emily " Lee Bates 84, of 814 Grendel Avenue widow of William Henry Bates entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Hospice Care of the Piedmont. She was born in Chappells, SC January 21, 1936 a daughter of the late James W. And Bessie Ruff. She was a member of Pine Pleasant Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Choir and a member of the Quarter Century Club., and a member of the Women's Aide Society #12. She retired from Greenwood Mills Durst Plant after 27 years of service and later was employed with Bower's Rodgers. Mr. Wiley Carter, 73, resident of 116 Enterprise Court, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Self Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 28, 1947 in Greenwood County to the late George Washington Carter Sr. and Elizabeth Dorothy Hentz Carter. He attended Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church in Promised Land. He attended school in the Promised Land Community and Brewer High School. At an early age, he moved to Philadelphia and then to New Jersey where he graduated from East Side High School, in Patterson, NJ. Izetta Holmes Jackson

Mrs. Izetta Holmes Jackson, widow of Odell Jackson, was born to Willie and Marian Holmes on March 12, 1935 and peacefully entered into eternal rest on September 29, 2020. She was a graduate of Brewer High School, then continued her education at SC State College ( University) and Clemson University earning her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in education.
