Deacon Obbie Tolbert, Jr. 79, of 414 Power Street, husband of Mildred Luchie Tolbert died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 He was born in Greenwood County, a son of the late Obbie Tolbert , Sr. and Jannie Mae Jennings Tolbert. Obbie was a graduate of Brewer High School Class of 1957 and attended Lander College. He served faithfully at Morris Chapel Baptist Church until his health declined. Fred Parker Jr. aka “Junior”, 71, passed away, Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Hospice Care of the Piedmont, Inc. of Greenwood surrounded by family. Fred was born on September 28, 1947 in Greenwood, SC to the late Hellen and Fred Parker Sr. He attended Brewer High School in Greenwood, SC and was a former truck driver for Wilson Brothers in Coronaca. He was a comedian by nature and he enjoyed fishing during his free time. He was a friend of many and he never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his lifelong partner, Mary Moore.
