A son of the late Alonzo Hentz, Sr. and Lillie Beatrice Smith Hentz. He was a member of Pine Grove AME Church and formerly employed with Greenwood Motel and Greenwood Mills. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Barry Jeffrey Hentz, Sr. and Patrick Antonio Hentz. He was born September 24, 1940 in Edgefield County a son of the late Tobie "T.B. Holmes and the late Willie Mae Higgins Holmes.
