She was born in Greenwood County October 30, 1953 a daughter of the late William Edd Higgins and Jannie Lue Seigler Higgins. She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church in Edgefield , SC where she attended Sunday School. She was formerly employed with Greenwood Mills and a graduate of Greenwood High School Class of 1973.
