Rufus R. Kemp

Mr. Rufus Reid Kemp husband of Ruby Anderson Kemp, was born on May 24, 1940 in Greenwood, SC. He was called home to his heavenly home on Monday April 23 2018. He was the son of the late Rufus Kemp and Fannie Mae Reed Watts. Rufus was a faithful member of Little Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church, where he served as a trustee and an usher. He especially enjoyed his service as a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord. He retired from Century Link after 25 years of service. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of the home, five brothers and three sisters and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Frances B. Payne Reed 67, of 206 Parker Avenue wife of Richard Reed died April 14, 2018 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Anderson County april 11, 1951, she was a daughter of Frances Wright Barmore and the late James A. Barmore Sr. She was a graduate Geer-Gantt High Class of 1969. She was also a graduate of Forrest College and Piedmont Technical College with Associate Degree in Secretarial Science. She was a veteran of the US Air Force and a member of New Broadmouth Baptist Church in Honea Path, SC and attended Grace Community Church. Mr. Thomas L. Perkins

Mr. Thomas Lee Perkins age 82 of 5832 Hwy 25, North Hodges, SC, husband of Donnie Robinson Perkins entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 14th at his home. Born in Abbeville, SC, he was the son of the late Junior and Nola Miller Perkins. He joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church at an early age and later joined Good Hope Baptist Church. He was formerly employed with Riegel Mills in Ware Shoals, SC and retired from Michelin Tires in Greenville, SC after 19 years of service. He later was a part-time employee with Greenwood County Landfill. He was preceded in death by four brothers, James, Alonzo, Mack Samuel and Raymond and sister Ethel Quarles.
