He was a member of Dunham Temple CME Church at retired Brick Mason Surviving are a son, Charlie Chambers of Greenwood ; a brother, Paul Reid of Greenwood; a special friend, Tammy Williams of the home; two step sons Eddie Griffin and Mike Griffin of Greenwood, five step daughters; Tina Williams, Evelyn Gordon and Shakevia Gordon of Greenwood and Jamie Woods of Raleigh, NC and Cossieneppa Williams of Greenville, SC ; 19 Step grandchildren ; 1 step great grandchild and a host of relatives and friend

Mrs. Gladys Beatrice Witt 85, formerly of 117 N Ames Street, widow of Charles Lindbergh Witt died April 18, 2017 at the home of her daughter Belinda Regina Johnson of 366 Joe Louis Blvd, Greenwood, SC . Born in Greenwood South Carolina a daughter Jamis Blocker and Tina Sullivan and was reared in the home of her cousin the late Seanie Hearst. She was a lifelong member of Mt Pisgah Baptist Church where she served on the Senior Choir, the Missionary Society and was most recently named Mother of the Church. She was retired from the Greenwood School District # 50 and Self Memorial Hospital and member of the Sunshine Community Club. She was preceded in death by siblings, Georgia Mae Blocker,
