Mr. Artrulus Morse 78, of 30 Shaftsbury Ct, Reisterstown, MD husband of Johnnie Mae Morse passed December 10, 2106 at Northwest Hospital, Randlestown, MD. He was born in Newberry SC November 30, 1938 a son of Osia Morse and Mevelyn Satterwhite Morse. He was in the trucking industry for many years and retired from ETL Trucking in Philadelphia, PA. He joined Pleasant Rock Baptist Church at an early age. Surviving are his devoted wife, a son, Tony Morse of New Jersey; three daughters, Yolanda Morse Alleyne of Maryland, Gwendolyn Morse Cornish of Pennsylvania and Francis Morse of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, Ulysses Morse of Texas; one sister, Gwendolyn Hadnott of Texas; grandchildren, and gre

Mrs. Nancy Jean Harts

Mrs. Nancy Jean Harts, 71, the youngest of six children to late Willie Earl Ruff and Bessie Bell Williams Ruff, was born January 27, 1945 in Greenwood county South Carolina. On December 10, 2016, God laid his hands on her and she graciously accepted. She departed this life at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta Georgia surrounded by her loving family. Celebration of Nancy Jean’s Life will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016, at 2PM at Percival-Tompkins Chapel, 330 Magnolia Avenue, Greenwood, South Carolina, officiated by Elder Ronnie Parkman. Burial will be held At the Pine Pleasant Baptist Church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Percival-Tompkins Funeral Home.

Mrs Mattie E. Blocker

Mrs. Mattie Eliza Mosley Blocker 96, of 213 Beadle Avenue, widow of Walter Evans Blocker, Sr. passed December 3, 2016 at her home. She was born in Greenwood, SC July 21, 1920 a daughter of George Mosley and Rachel Lewis Mosley. She was a graduate of Brewer High School Class of 1942. Mattie was a retiree of Emerald City Laundry as a seamstress and also did various jobs in and around Greenwood. She was a former pianist for Mt Tabor Baptist Church and retired from playing at the church at the age of 94. She also served as pianist for several other churches. She was preceded in death by a son, Willie Odell Blocker, three sisters, Georgia M. Doby, Willie O Blackwell and Sarah C. Wyche four

Mr Willie "Billy" Bennett,Sr

Willie Herbert "Billy" Bennett, Sr 74 of 352 Joe Louis Blvd, peacefully and quietly departed this life on Monday, December 5, 2016 at the home of his sister and bother in-law in Waterloo, SC. He was born in Waterloo, SC to the late Clyde Bennett, Sr and Eliza Hill Bennett. Billy was a faithful member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church, a graduate of Sanders High School, Class of 1961, and was retired form Monsanto after more that 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by a son, Randy.
