Obituary Mrs. Eugenia Mae Holmes Evans, 98, affectionately known as ‘’Aunt Gena’, ‘Ma Gena’, ‘Cousin Gena’ , ‘Gena Mae’, and the ‘Mayor of Cokesbury’, widow of the late Arthur Evans, entered eternal rest on Monday, September 26, 2016, at National Healthcare of Greenwood, South Carolina. Eugenia, the last member of her immediate family was born May 30, 1918, in Cokesbury, SC to the late James Edwards Holmes and Rebecca Robinson Jackson Holmes. She was nurtured in a Christian home and loving family. Mrs. Evans was a dedicated, faithful and dutiful member of St. Paul AME Church until the Lord called her home. Greenwood William Burton William Rufus Burton ,66 of 205 Plowden Avenue, Greenwood, son of the late Willie Martin and Marguarite Frazier Burton was born on December 30, 1949 in Hodges, South Carolina Williams and entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 20, 1016 at his home, surrounded by his loves ones. William graduated from Brewer High School in 1968 and was a member of the Brewer High School Marching Ban where he played trumpet.
