He was born in Greenwood county January 22, 1960 a son of the late Jesse Parker, Sr. and Elizabeth Cummings Parker. He was a former member of Glovers Chapel Baptist Church. Surviving is his sister, Dorothy Watson(Jesse) of Greenwood; four brothers, Willie, Lonnie, Ronnie and Rufus Parker all of Greenwood; one aunt, Lena Mae Wideman of Augusta. He was born in Greenwood county February 23, 1938 a son of the late Helen Morange Geter. He was a retired Crane with Wilson Brothers Sand and Stone Company. He was very active in the community . He was a member of Mt Tabor Baptist Church where he served as Trustee. 1923 in Holly Hill, SC to the late Engle Sweat and Maize Snellings Sweat. Mrs. Butler is the last of that union. Mrs. Butler graduated from Roberts High School in Holly Hill, SC and later attended Allen University in Columbia, SC where she soon joined Zeta- Phi Beta Sorority. She was married to the late Furman D. Butler for 49 years. Together they co-owned and operated Butler's Service Station for 10 years. She was also employed with Parke Davis and Capsugel for many years.
