Mrs. Betty Lee Burton 73, of 3416 Connor Road, Hodges, SC passed March 25, 2016 at her home. She was born in Greenwood County February 2, 1943 a daughter of the late Warzine Burton and Rosa Lee Miner Burton. She was a 1961 graduate of Wright HS in Abbeville, SC. She was a member of Mt Calvary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board, Missionary Society and Pastor's Aide. She was formerly employed at Harris Plant an retired after 30 years of service. She was also employed with Brewer School, Knox Nursery, Self Regional , and KFC. Mr. Aaron Mitchell Gray 54, of 312 Parker Avenue Greenwood passed March 16, 2016 at Self Regional Medical Center. He was born in Greenwood county to the late James Smith and Carrie Elizabeth Mitchell Gray. He joined Flint Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He was formerly employed with the Index Journal and presently employed with Wesley Commons. He had a love for Jazz music and loved cruising and jamming to his music. Willa Mae " Rose" Childs 74, of 111 Utopia Avenue passed March 3, 2016 at Self Regional Medical Center. She was born in Aiken, SC October 23, 1941 a daughter of the late Willie Williams and Inez Head Williams, . Surviving are her children, Synora, Victor, Cynthia, Ellis, Brenda and Eric; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Matthew( Judy) Head; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was born in Abbeville county on November 27, 1918 to the late Lottie Hughey. She was married to the late Oscar Nathaniel Tolbert. Louise was a long-time member of Weston Chapel AME Church in Greenwood where she served on the Stewardess Board. She worked until retirement at One Hour Martinizing.
