Miss Janice R. Hill 49, of 403 Rambo Drive passed from Labor to reward on January 9, 2015 at Self Regional Medical Center. She was born in Greenwood County November 15, 1965 a daughter of Lillie R. Hill and the late Jasper Hill. She was employed with Eaton Industries for over 20 years. She was a member of Second Damascus Baptist Church and was a graduate of Greenwood High School Class of 1984. She was a retired SGT from the National Guard Army HHC 151 Signal Battalion after 21 years of service having served in Desert Storm, The Persian Gulf and Operation New Dawn. Mr. Jasper Hill husband of Lillie Ruth Hill passed January 5, 2015 at the Medical University of Charleston. He was born in McCormick County December 19, 1943 a son of the late Bobby T. Hill and Julia A. Quarles Hill. He was retired from Greenwood Mills after 38 years of services and was also employed with Louis Rich Mill in Newberry South Carolina. He was a very devoted and faithful member of Second Damascus Baptist Church where he served in several ministries to include the Sr. Ushers, Chairman of The Trustee Board, and Church Custodian. Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Harris Williams 81, of Trinity Mission Health and Rehab of Edgefield, SC widow of James Thomas Williams passed January 4, 2014 at her home. She was born in Greenwood County May 10, 1933 a daughter of the late Walter Evans and Annie Harris. She was a retired Cook for School District # 50. She was a member of Pine Grove AME Church where served on the Missionary Society. Ms Veronica Smith 45, of 303 Lindsey Avenue passed December 30, 2014 at her home. She was born in Greenwood County June 4, 1969 a daughter of the late Ronnie Smith and Josephine Lanier Smith. She was a member of United House of Prayer for All People where she served on the Love Action Board She was a graduate of Greenwood HS Class of 1987. She was employed with Greenwood School District #50 at Brewer Middle School. She was involved in Community service at Meals on Wheels for several years.
