Maude Starks (August 15, 1923 - January 29, 2014)

Mrs. Maude Starks 92, of 501 Haltiwanger Road, Apt F-3 widow of Edward Starks passed January 29, 2014 at her home. She was born in Laurens County August 15, 1923 a daughter of Will Bennett and Connie Finley Bennett. She was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church and retired from Eastwill Sportswear after many years of service She leaves to cherish her memories, a great niece who was reared in the home, Karlita Phillips, a great great niece, Dayleshia Wideman, a great great nephew, Dre Wideman all of the home, several other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday, February 3, 2014 at Percival Tompkins Chapel with Rev. Herbert Glenn officiating.

Mr. Thaddeus Sinclair Lewis 60, of 505 By Pass 25 NE passed January 29, 2104 at Self Regional Medical Center. He was born in Greenwood county June 30, 1953 a son of Sallie Lewis Sample and Thomas Carlton Aiken, Sr. and the stepson of Smart Sample. He was a member of Pine Grove AME Church, Hodges, SC where he served faithfully as a Trustee, Choir member and Missionary until his health failed. He also was Past Co-Coordinator of the Harvest Festival and member of the Finance Committee. Rudolph Williams, Sr. (May 1, 1934 - January 29, 2014)

Mr. Rudolph Williams, 80 of 106 Locksley Drive widower of Mary Louise Williams passed on January 29, 2014 at his home. He was born in Rocky Mount, NC May 1, 1934 a son of the late James Parris and Magnolia Parris and reared in the home of Arthur and Flossie Williams. He was a retired Baker at Baked to Perfection in Long Island, NY. He was a retired Sgt. in the United States Marines and was a member of Grace Community Church where he served as Deacon. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Mae Parris; also by his sister and brother in law, Thomas and Carrie Ricks.
